Profile
Professor Mingwei Tang, male, born in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, owns a doctor degree of management. Now, I am an adjunct master’s supervisor at Hohai University, a corresponding reviewer for the national natural science foundation of China and the national social science foundation of China, a science and technology consultant for the Guangdong provincial department of science and technology, a reviewer for the SSCI journal The Electronic Library, an Internationally certified Java programmer, and a certified big data development engineer by the ministry of industry and information technology. Besides, I used to work as an adjunct professor/visiting scholar/postdoctoral researcher at the University of North Texas and a postdoctoral fellow in information science at Nanjing University.

Research Areas
I have long been engaged in theoretical and applied research employing cutting-edge technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT) to address practical management challenges including auditing, business process reengineering, enterprise informatization, information silos, and comprehensive text evaluation. As first author, I have published over 30 papers in prominent SSCI, EI, CSSCI, and CSCD-indexed journals in the field of information science, in addition to authoring one monograph and one textbook. I have presided over multiple research projects, including one grant each from the National Social Science Fund, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of the Ministry of Education, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Jiangsu Provincial Social Science Foundation, Jiangsu United Front Theory and Policy Research Project, and a major project in the Jiangsu University Social Science Foundation. I have also participated in several national-level significant and key research projects. As the primary inventor, I hold three authorized national invention patents and 13 software copyrights. My accolades include the East China Science and Technology Information Achievement Award (Second Prize), Jiangsu Provincial Higher Education Philosophy and Social Sciences Research Award (Third Prize), Jiangsu Science and Technology Information Achievement Award (Second Prize), and Jiangsu Library and Information Science Academic Achievement Award (Second Prize), each awarded once. I have supervised students to win five national-level awards (Third Prize or above) and five provincial-level awards (Second Prize or above) in discipline competitions recognized by the Ministry of Education. With extensive practical experience, I am highly skilled in information system analysis, design, development, and auditing.

长期从事应用大数据、人工智能、物联网等前沿技术，解决包括审计、业务流程重组、企业信息化、信息孤岛和文本综合评价等实际管理问题的理论和方法研究，以第一作者在情报学领域SSCI、EI、CSSCI和CSCD等重要期刊上发表论文30余篇，出版专著1部，教材1部；先后主持国家社会科学基金、国家自然科学基金、教育部人文社科基金、中国博士后基金、江苏省社科基金、江苏省统战理论政策研究课题和江苏高校社科基金重大项目各1项，参与多项国家级重大和重点课题；以第一发明人授权国家发明专利3项，拥有软件著作权13项，获得华东科学技术情报成果二等奖、江苏高校哲学社会科学奖三等奖，江苏省科学技术情报学会成果二等奖，江苏省图书馆学情报学学术成果二等奖各1项，指导学生获得教育部认可学科竞赛国赛三等奖以上5项，省赛二等奖以上5项。具有丰富的信息系统分析、设计、开发和审计经验。
