为增强留学生的消防安全意识，帮助其掌握基本的消防安全知识，提升自救逃生的能力，3月6日下午，留学生院开展留学生消防安全宣传讲座和消防安全演习活动。本次讲座特别邀请到南京邮电大学保卫处副处长吴学政主讲，留学生院全体师生参加。

In order to enhance international students' awareness of fire safety, help them master basic fire safety knowledge and improve their self-rescue capabilities, School of International Students (SIS) held fire safety lecture and drills for the international students on March 6th. WU Xuezheng, deputy director of security department of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, was invited to give the lecture. All the faculty and international students took part in this activity.

讲座中，吴学政向留学生们讲解了消防安全基本制度及我国相关法律法规，并结合南京市发生的火灾实际案例，介绍了校园火灾的常见类型。通过观看发人深省的火灾视频，留学生们更加深刻地体会到火灾的危害，意识到校园内安全用电的重要性。讲座互动环节，吴学政向留学生演示灭火器和消防栓的使用方法，为随后的消防安全演习打下基础。

During the lecture, WU explained to the students about the basic laws and regulations of fire safety in China. He introduced common types of campus fire with vivid fire cases in Nanjing. By watching thought-provoking fire videos, the international students were fully aware of the harms of fire and the importance of the proper use of electrical appliances. During the interaction session, WU showed the international students how to use the fire extinguishers and hydrants, which was practiced by the students in the fire safety drill that was to follow.

讲座结束后，留学生院全体师生移步留学生宿舍，开展实操训练。随着消防警报的拉响，留学生们在宿管人员的引导下有序疏散逃离火灾演习现场，来到宿舍空地。接着留学生院全体师生在保卫部工作人员指导下，规范使用灭火器扑灭火苗，圆满完成消防安全演习。

After the lecture, all the faculties and international students went to international students’ apartment to conduct a fire safety drill. With the sound of the fire alarm, the international students evacuated from their dormitory in an orderly manner under the guidance of the apartment staff, and came to the open space of the apartment. Later, under the guidance of security department staff, all the faculty and students took turns to practice using fire extinguisher. The fire safety drill was quite successful.

本次消防安全宣传活动，向全体留学生普及了消防安全知识，进一步增强了留学生的安全防火意识和自我保护能力，为创建一个文明、和谐、平安的校园打下了坚实的基础。

The fire safety activity helped improve the students’ fire safety knowledge, fire safety awareness and self-protection ability, which is key to establishing a civilized, harmonious and safe campus.
