Through the lens of the camera, the international students were able to appreciate both the traditional Jiangnan gardens of ancient China and the remnants of modern western and eastern architecture, including the National Government, the Presidential Palace and its affiliated institutions, the office of Sun Yat-sen's Provisional President, the Secretariat, the West Garden and Sun Yat-sen's living room; they also learned about the tumultuous historical changes of modern China through the tour.

The second stop was at the Nanjing Folk Museum, a specialised institution in Nanjing that collects and displays folklore objects, studies folk customs and promotes the excellent traditional culture of folklore, and established China's first double museum of folklore and non-heritage in 2010.

The Nanjing Folk Museum is a testimony to and a microcosm of the culture of Nanjing's old city, and an important showcase of Nanjing's folk culture and intangible cultural heritage. knots, pompoms, microcarvings, clay sculptures, woof, bamboo carvings, face painting and 13 other items. When they found out that some of the non-heritage cultural activities could be tried out by visitors, international students expressed their eagerness to experience the artistic charm of non-heritage culture.
