On the afternoon of September 18, 2017, President of Nanjing Audit University, Professor Liu Wanghong, warmly welcomed the delegation of three from China Scholarship Council (CSC) led by Secretariat Liu Jinghui, discussing issues concerning the internationalization of Nanjing Audit University.
President Liu Wanghong extended his most sincere gratitude to China Scholarship Council for her constant support in the internationalization of Nanjing Audit University. After a brief introduction to the history and general information about the university, he emphasized the utmost importance of “internationalization”, one of the three words that summarized the university-running orientation, the other two being “peculiarity” and “quality”. President Liu Wanghong also expressed his wish that China Scholarship Council could continuously offer stronger support in the education of international students and students who are furthering their studies abroad.
Dean of School of International Exchange, Professor Cheng Lengjie made a brief introduction to the education of international students in Nanjing Audit University since 2004. He proceeded to elaborate on the implementation of “2016 Chinese Government Scholarship Auditing Master Program” from six aspects: the close attention from the authorities of China Scholarship Council and China National Audit Office, as well as the leadership of Nanjing Audit University, the cooperative mechanism between departments, the systematic education plan, the enjoyable and colorful life of the international students, the readily available living facilities and the rigid yet reasonable regulations.
Secretariat Liu Jinghui highly appreciated the efforts made by all NAUers in the education of international students after she heard about what they have done, particularly the stories concerning “2016 Chinese Government Scholarship Auditing Master Program”. She said that she was deeply touched by three things: the close attention to high-level international talents from university leadership; the superbly well-coordinated team for management of international students; and the highly-standardized and meticulously-designed education plan of MAud Program. She continued to introduce the obligations and functions of China Scholarship Council, with an emphasis on the scholarships for both international students who come to study in China and Chinese students who plan to study abroad. She encouraged more intense cooperation between Nanjing Audit University and China Scholarship Council and promised substantial support in the cause of internationalization of Nanjing Audit University.
Thereafter, Secretariat Liu Jinghui and her delegation were accompanied by Vice President of Nanjing Audit University, Professor Li Qun, in a visit to the Currency Museum and the Audit Museum on campus of Nanjing Audit University.
