NAU delegation composed of Dean, Prof. Lengjie Cheng, of School of International Exchange, and Deputy Director, Mr. Guoyong Ding, of Academic Committee visited University of California Riverside from 26 Oct. to 30 Oct. to participate in an international seminar Study Abroad and International Talent Development.
The seminar was jointly hosted by UCR Extension Center and US International Education Association. The participants included counterparts from dozens of Chinese universities and schools and colleges of UCR. The participants shared with each other their understanding of global education and how to enrich and strengthen cooperative ties to benefit overseas students in the 21st century.
As one of the key speakers from Chinese universities, Dean Cheng delivered his key-note speech entitled Sino-American Education Cooperation, Past, Present and Future--From the Perspective of NAU. During and after the seminar, the participants also paid visits to UCR's International Village, UCR's Bourns College of Engineering, and UCR's School of Public Policy, where UCR's colleagues showed their Chinese counterparts what and how they have contributed to overseas students in study abroad programs from professional career certificate program to master's and Ph. D's programs.
