Dr. Yuan Shu of Texas Tech University, USA, visited NAU Wednesday, 3 June, to discuss student exchange program with counterparts of NAU.

Vice President Prof. Ping Yin met with Dr. Shu and he extended NAU's sincere welcome to Dr. Shu on behalf of NAU. Both Vice President and Dr. Shu respectively introduced their universities and expressed mutual interests in establishing exchange programs for students at the initial stage and later on expanded to cooperation at more levels. Vice President Prof. Yin instructed School of International Exchange to quicken the negotiations with TTU and expressed his wish to start the exchange program next year to benefit students from both universities. Dr. Shu invited NAU leadership and counterparts to visit Texas Tech University at their convenience. Prof. Qianwen Li, Director of Presidential Office and Mr. Sheng Ge, Deputy Director of International Affairs Office and Prof. Lengjie Cheng, Dean of School of International Exchange were present at the meeting.

After the meeting, Prof. Cheng took Dr. Shu to have a tour around NAU campus. Dr. Shu visited NAU's students' canteen, shop, dormitory, sports activities and classrooms, which all left him a deep impression.
